Wigan Live Fundraiser – Wigan Central on 26th June
We are showcasing just 3 performers that will be playing at Wigan Live Festival 2016!
Wigan Central at 2:30pm on 26th June
Alec Martin – 2:30pm
Alec is one of the hardest working musicians in the north west. As well as being a founder member of Night Train (never missed a gig!), he is also responsible for The Buskers Ball of Bolton, England…one of the country’s original ‘open mike’ sessions.
An accomplished singer/songwriter, as well as singing with Night Train and running The Buskers Ball, Alec can also be found doing solo gigs at various folk, blues and open mike sessions in the area, with a repertoire that not only includes his original material, but also covers by people ranging from Dylan to Howling Wolf.
Tim Critchley – 3:30pm
Tim can play any instrument you can imagine. His musical ability is crafted from the inner depths of his soul.
For now Tim will perform epic songs on the acoustic guitar but features his voice, harmonica and whistling.
Grounded in English traditions, but flirting exotically with a plethora of musical avenues, Tim creates a tasty dramatic dance-able ambiance-like atmosphere guaranteeing you have a good time.
From the tear-jerking instrumentals to luscious Led Zepplin rock solo’s adapted to the Whistle, Tim guarantees to put on a show you will have never seen before
Sarah Hardman – 4:15pm
Sarah has been working around music since an early age when she picked up a love of the flute. She regularly plays at open mic nights and can often be found at them across York.
Sarah’s also the advanced vocal coach for the York St John Singing Society and worked with Musical Director Ingrid Smith over the 2013/14 year.
She’s looking forward to sharing her passion with you and will be bringing you a set which contains both well-known and original material.
