Alec Martin

Blues | Rock

The man Bob Dylan went to see, and the man credited with starting the open mic scene with his Buskers Ball, almost a quarter of a century ago!
Alec is frontman with the blues/rock band NIGHT TRAIN (who are celebrating their 40th anniversary this year) but he will be wearing his acoustic ‘hat’ for this year’s festival.
His solo material runs the full range from self penned to covers interspaced by some very dry comedy.

Alec was also one of resident singers at Poynton Folk Centre the year it was voted national folk club of the year, has been featured on BBC radio many times as well as appearing on BBC4’s ‘Unsigned Bands’ feature….and his Buskers Ball was even mentioned on a McFly album, as it was there Danny Jones performed regularly.
His solo album ‘AnotherSide Of…’ and the Night Train album ‘The Silence Spoke…’ (which are both semi autobiographical) are available on iTunes, Amazon Music, Dweezer etc and all digital outlets.
